About The Vans
Vista's fleet of long wheel base Mercedes vans allow installers to demonstrate the latest equipment wherever is most convenient for the customer. Every van has its own Experienced Technical Operator who is fully qualified to perform in-depth demonstrations on the van's Vista equipment. As well as taking the installer and end user through the various security solutions onboard, they can also offer tips and advice on how to get the very best images for the end user's specific environment.

Each of the Vista Demonstration Vans contains the latest offering in CCTV equipment. With the ability to conduct true to life demos of the latest Vista products, listed below are details of just a small selection of what you can see in the Vista Demonstration Vehicles.
Vista PowerDome2
The Vista PowerDome2 range of high speed domes offers installers a wide choice of aesthetically identical cameras with varying capabilities to cover a range of applications. The range includes internal and external high speed domes, external vandal resistant domes and static domes.
This high speed range has newly designed pendent and ceiling housings which allow all connections to be made internally. Options include a 22:1 colour, 18:1 day/night, 26:1 day/night and 23:1 day/night with WDR.
The vandal resistant range has a new cast aluminium pendent housing fitted with a polycarbonate bubble which provides IP66 protection ensuring it is dust and water tight. The static surveillance option gives installers the opportunity to mix and match the whole range according to the specifications required while still keeping the same look and feel. Because all casings are identical, the public will be unable to tell if the unit is static or fully functional, allowing intelligent cost savings to be made across the whole installation.
All but the static option come with coaxial FSK control which allows them to be controlled over existing cable runs with no extra cabling required. On-board video amplification easily allows for extended cable runs exceeding 500 meters of RG59 with full telemetry control. Also included are both camera yoke and back-box memory allowing either yoke or housing to be swapped out and automatically reprogrammed with camera settings such as presets, tours, privacy zones etc. without manual re-programming.
Blade DVR
Vista Blade is a range of enterprise level real-time DVRs, offering high resolution images and excellent performance for systems incorporating both analogue and IP cameras. Each camera input comes with a codec to allow cameras to be fine tuned to suit any requirement. Any camera can be set to any compression level, in any quality, at any image rate per second. The powerful use of macros allows the user to program the DVR to just about any form of configuration giving you full control of how you use the equipment.
Quantum DVR
The Quantum 4 is an entry-level DVR which incorporates MPEG-4 compression to ensure small file sizes whilst maintaining the highest quality video possible. The recorder has been specifically designed for smaller surveillance applications and, with this in mind, it has been designed to be extremely straightforward to install. With a choice of hard disk sizes, advanced alarm and recording options with record rates of up to 100 images per second, Quantum represents a flexible alternative to more expensive digital video recording solutions. Other features include alarm inputs, network and USB connectivity, audio and optional DVD drives.
Navigator DVR
The Vista Navigator is a set of mid range Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) offering a comprehensive range of features with a simple to use interface.
The mouse-driven GUI (Graphical User Interface) is intuitive in operation, minimising training requirements and any post-installation problems. Additionally, the on-screen help function helps less experienced users get the most out of the system, without the need to refer to separate manuals.
Powerful scheduling using easily understandable graphics allows individual alarms, camera record speed and quality settings to be assigned for different weekdays, weekends and holidays. This optimises record duration and reduces the amount of disk space required.
The latest codec technology has been utilised to allow video to be stored in two formats: JPEG for high resolution images and MPEG-4 for optimal transmission over networks. Navigator also allows for significant cost savings to be made as dome control is provided over standard coaxial cable, thereby removing the cost of any extra cabling in an existing system. The large range of telemetry protocols enables compatibility with an extensive range of third party dome and PTZ cameras.
VNPR (Vista Number Plate Recognition)
An accurate, reliable and user-friendly method of number plate recognition has been sought after for many years. Vista now has that system.Vista's VNPRC camera head is a fully integrated unit that has been specifically designed for number plate capture. Featuring a high quality monochrome EXview™ camera, lens and Infra Red Illumination. The unit is prebuilt and configured for your needs.
Designed to be low maintenance and reliable, the unit is more than capable of capturing number plates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The technology used in the VNPRC overcomes many problems usually associated with number plate recognition; such as speed, daytime highlights, reflectivity of number plates, an accurate focus in both day and night operation and car headlights.
The data captured by the camera is fed back to the VNPR controller, (please see VNPR Controller datasheet), where the pre-loaded database can be used to trigger events such as raising car park barriers, switching traffic lights, displaying messages on LED signs, alerting security staff and calculating car park tolls to name but a few.
